Trustfnd launched its new subscription bundle product a couple months ago and publishers have immediately hopped on board to run discount bundles with their peers. Aftermath ran one with Rascal, Rogue and Never Post. Kat Tenbarge came back for a second round with Ryan Broderick and Dave Jorgenson. I still don't believe subscription fatigue is affecting indie publishers enough to really be worried about it, but I also get that everyone's excited to add a new revenue driver to their toolkit.

Count me among them because Lucy Werner and I just ran our first bundle. We smashed our initial goal (100) and brought in 132 annual bundle takers, just barely crossing $10k in combined new revenue. You were very likely one of them since this publication is paywalled :)

Lucy and I are promoters at heart so we went hard at this goal, much harder than I see indie journalists doing and maybe even harder than I'd recommend for you. But I want to share exactly how we promoted this bundle because if you have a smaller audience or don't see the uptake you hoped for on your bundle, you can use the levers we used to get more out of it. Don't let it overwhelm you! You don't have to do all this. It's not a mandate. It's options. It's examples. It's inspiration.

This is my full time income so I take it pretty damn seriously. You can only run a promo campaign like this so often so I needed to make the most of it.
